Interchangeable roasting plates. Hybrid coffee roasting technology

With interchangeable roasting plates, the Typhoon 2.5 and Typhoon 5 roasters unlock the full potential of convection and conduction in even a small coffee business. The 8mm thick conduction roasting plate, made of high carbon steel, provides a bright and juicy filter coffee, while the 2mm thick convection roasting plate, made of stainless steel, makes for a pure and balanced espresso coffee every time.

External cyclone. No dust and chaff anymore.

The Typhoon 5kg is the first coffee roaster to include an external cyclone to effectively cleanse the air of chaff and supply clean air for the next roast. You can roast non-stop, without destoning coffee after it is dropped to the cooling table, with batches perfectly clear of any admixtures. Rubbish disposal is collected in a bin under the external cyclen every 10 roasts.

A roastmaster must select parameters to develop the individual taste and flavor descriptors to each coffee’s special sort and origin. The Typhoon Profile System 3.0 facilitates the creation and storage of professional profiles with specialized controls including touch-screen panels to set your system.

Fluid-bed coffee roasting

Pairing high airflow with a heat source suspends beans to significantly reduce bean defects like tipping, scorching, and charring. In comparison to a traditional drum roasting method, more than 80% of defects are eliminated. The innovative technology also halves the time required to achieve specialty coffee roasting. Airflow control

This function allows​ the user to maintain​ full control over airflow throughout every stage of roasting, resulting in maximum consistency during heat transfer. All parameters are saved to the history log and can be reloaded for following roasts.

Quick cooling

After a roast is ready, it’s important to quickly stop the pyrolysis process and ​discharge the coffee to avoid any baked flavors. Typhoon roasters cool the batch in as little as 2 to 2.5 minutes.

Modular air heating

A smooth ​regulatory heating system​ is crucial for quality and consistency ​during roasting​. T​herefore, our machines have modular PID-regulated tubular electric heaters installed.

Air exchange regulation

Typhoon roasters are constructed to provide a​ fresh air supply and efficiently outtake smoke to and from the roasting area. As is key to proper coffee roasting, baked and smoky flavors are ​prevented​ this way.

Automatic control

Typhoon roasters are fully controlled by the roasting profile software “Typhoon profile system 3.0”. This program allows you to create roasting profiles, choose one from the history log, monitor the current parameters. The software ​provides​ everything you need for professional coffee roasting.
